Hello! I am offering a large room in a home I am rehabbing. Move-in after August 1, but flexible.
The room is 13'x20' with two large sort-of walk-in closets that line the room (3'x20' and 3'x14'). Large picture window faces front yard, and gets the morning sun. Despite the photo, room is unfurnished, but if that is a dealbreaker for you, just let me know and I can try to arrange furniture for you.
Must also pay gas and electric (likely between $30 and $80/month depending on season). Rent includes internet, all other utilities, and CSA subscription.
House is 2500 square feet, 1.5 bath, with large living and dining rooms, and brand new kitchen. Washer and dryer in basement. It is freshly restored with mostly environmentally-friendly materials, and new insulation, storm windows, etc. makes it fairly energy efficient. It has monitored security and wireless internet. It's on a double lot with large fenced yard. Back yard has raised bed garden and compost. I'm hoping to have off-street parking but it might not be ready by August. Ample street parking.
It is just a couple blocks away from La Vallesana, Blank Space, 2720, etc. Location is great.
Roommates will be two Master's in Social Work students, one male, one female. Third roommate TBD. House will have a kitten and possibly another cat. No additional pets, please!
Lease would be month-to-month with priority/preference given to a 1-year commitment. Deposit is 1 month's rent. I will be flexible on lease terms and all that. "Landlord" is a roommate and owner of the home. So, no absentee landlord here!
I intend to create a community-oriented home, where housemates can host discussions, conversations, meetings, film screenings, potlucks, etc. I do not want a house of transient housemates, not just a place to sleep. I want to be able to converse and share in activities.
