Rent: $500/month, Internets: $30/month, Deposit depends on your arrangement with the landlady(she's pretty reasonable). We are looking for only ONE tenant, so I'm sorry but no couples or children. Please also note that huskies can sometimes play rough so if you have a teacup sized dog or a cat, it might not be a great fit.
Hello there. Room available in a two bedroom house on a dog friendly property. Advanced warning. If you do not like or even LOVE dogs, don't bother reading the rest. Go find a sad corner to sit in with your allergies, cat, or soullessness.
This is a two-story guest house that shares a huge fenced and well maintained property in Oregon City with the landlady's separate house. The room available is on the second floor, it is big(the entire second floor like a loft but enclosed) but the walls are sloped so furniture placement sometimes requires creativity. There is a bathroom upstairs but the only shower is in the downstairs bathroom which doubles as the guest bathroom so that is kept tidy. There is a stacked washer/dryer in my room that you'll have access to if I'm not asleep (preferably after knocking :P) The kitchen is an efficiency with only a stove, mini-fridge, microwave and smaller appliances I have added. No oven.
The only furniture here is the furniture that the landlady had in here when it was a guest house and the plan is to eventually move that out and get our own stuff in here. There is a twin bed and dresser upstairs, some chairs downstairs and a table and some stuff in the bathrooms nothing big, but there is a sad lack of livingroom setup so if you have that stuff, awesome.
So me. . ..I'm a 32 year old classy lady. Something of a dork but who isn't. I work from home and try to keep regular work hours (I am terrible at not working). I'm currently working on saving for a car, so I can go hiking and camping under my own power, but for the moment my life kind of revolves around my dogs.
I have a year old spayed female Siberian Husky that is very well socialized and just wants to play. She's pretty amazing at making friends with other dogs, but she generally could care less about humans. She's hyper in the morning, and at night, but I keep the crazy zoomies outside in the biiiiig yard, I prefer inside to be all about sleeping, or chewing on a stick. My second dog is a 6 month old soon to be neutered male Husky/White Shepherd mix. He was born a mellow disapproving older gentleman and does not often partake in his sister's nonsense. He is too busy keeping me out of trouble and patrolling the fence line, or cuddling. He was never a very puppyish puppy, not the ball of fluffy chaos most are. He's a thinker so he rarely gets in trouble.
I'm not a big partier, I drink casually(lightweight) and do not smoke or do drugs. Please no smoking of any flavor on the premises. There are times in which my friends come over and generally they bring a few dogs each as I met them through a Husky/Northern Breeds Group and they all have more than one. They're all pretty amazing dogs and love to play with anything that'll humor them. Just wanted you to be prepared for periodic fluff invasions. That's about as crazy as we get. Watching dogs in the yard. WOOOO.
The landlady and I have a tentative cap on the dog population but we are willing to take one more, but it really depends on personality. And size. If your dog is the size of a squirrel, myself and my little girl will chase it because squirrels are evil. I work from home and take care of mine and sometimes my landlady's dogs during the day so any dogs coming into the house would have to get along well with them. This in mind, we require that our dogs meet and get along before any decisions are made.
