Large, airy room with very high ceilings and slider to lanai. Large closet. Share bathroom and kitchen. (The pictures were taken when we removed the bed to replace the box spring. The bed is a full size.)

We do a little organic gardening, so if that's your thing, you can have your own little spot or garden together with us. Or not. We occasionally have people over to draw from a model or drum and it is usually a very mellow get-together, ending early.

The home is ideally located, walking distance to park, public (free!) swimming pool, grocery and post office. International airport and Kahului Town approximately 12 minutes by car. Although the room itself does not have an ocean view, we get lovely sunsets off the front deck.

The listing is for a furnished room. (PLEASE do not ask to bring in your old furniture or large items to store. We are not set up to store a lot of leftover stuff. If we remove furnishings from the room for you, we still have to store it or discard it and then have nothing when you move out.)

Rent includes reasonable usage of utilities. If you go over the allotment, we'll just ask for a few more bucks.

We are a married couple, both artists and are productively engaged. Our other current housemate has a full time job and pursues typical recreational activities - yoga, beach, paddling, etc. The house is a creative person's dream, possibly Martha Stewart's worst nightmare. There are a Pomeranian and a cat living in the house. We think they are charming, but some people have allergies.

We're looking for exactly the right person who we feel comfortable with and who also feels comfortable with us. We have found in the past that this person is often a younger woman, maybe feels safe in the house with couple who reminds her of her parents?

Looking for a mature adult - professional, student...?
No drugs, no drama, no disturbing activity after 9PM. That said, it is more of an alternative style home.
