A few of the attractions and activities are exploring islands off the coast, the cuisine of Portland's Old Port, finding treasure in shops along the cobblestone streets, picnic at the many light houses, horseback riding, sailing, parasailing, kayaking, deep sea fishing, whale watching, cycling, antiquing, bird watching, or you might enjoy taking the Downeaster train to Boston for the day or the Nova Star Ferry from Portland to Nova Scotia, Canada. Shopping outlets are nearby in Freeport and Kittery.
