I am writing this in the hopes that it reaches someone, anyone out there that may be able to help my family this holiday season. I am a single mother of 3 amazing kiddos ages 8,9&9. I unfortunately stumbled upon some medical issues that has completely changed our normal everyday lives. I never took what we had for granted, but when you're trying to just keep our heads above water..You definitely realize how different things are @this point in time in our lives. The past few years have been a rollercoaster ride for us having lost 2 close family members and 3 close friends, having been a victim of harassment&assault in 2015, having to raise my nephew on top of my own children by myself, no real close family or support, and many other things...but we always seem to keep going and try to remain strong and positive. My kids are so resilient it amazes me. They are my everything, what keeps me going and my motivation to always try and do what's best for them.
Unfortunately this Christmas has crept up on us this year and frankly I am stretching pennies as it is, the thought of not being able to provide them with a nice Christmas morning and dinner just is heartwrenching and honestly feels like a punch to the gut..."if only money grew on trees" I say.
They are young and so full of life, love and so much energy (wish I had half of that energy lol).
I have tried asking local resources for any assistance and I am either not eligible because my kids are not 5 and under and not on WIC, or because they stopped taking applications for Xmas help in October which had I have known that, I would have definitely been prepared and went in that early. I have also tried asking some local churches in the area with no such luck or they already have a full tree, or I get no call back.
So, I decided to make an ad here in CL and put our story/current situation out there and hoping that the not so nice people don't flood me with hate mail..
But also that there may be someone, an angel as I'd like to think of them,😇😉 reading this that may be in a position to possibly help my kiddos and I this Christmas with some needs, wants, food, gas, maybe a giftcard if some sort or anything at all would be a tremendous help and we would be soooo extremely grateful, you have no idea how MUCH any help would do for us right now. I realize this is an extreme long shot. But I figure it can't hurt to try and reach out to my community in hopes of a helping hand to reach back. I do not do drugs or drink, im not a criminal, ive never been arrested, just seem to have very bad luck and irony in my life.
