2 Missing Dogs Govt Beach Rd. REWARD (Hawaiian Beaches)

On Thursday, Jan 29th my 7 month old puppy and its mother disappeared without a trace from the house I rent on Government Beach road just outside Hawaiian Beaches between the Hawaiian Beaches and Paradise Park in Puna.

They are both almost identical female, spayed red nosed pit bull/red doberman/retriever mix. (I don't actually know) The mom's nipples hang down visibly from being a mom and is slightly thinner than the younger dog due to mal-nutrition before I found her. They both weigh near 40 pounds but may be thinner by now. They both have solid short golden RED hair. Neither looks like a pit bull too much. They both have one or two white toes on one of their back feet and a small star of white on the chest. The mom may be afraid of humans. The pup was VERY friendly. The mom dog answers to "Mommy" and the Puppy answers to "Angel".

The mother dog was dumped here last year in late May with another dog, just before she gave birth. They had been badly abused and was / was very afraid of other dogs, and most people, although I have worked very hard to rehabilitate her, so she has changed quite a bit, so she may have befriended someone.

The 2 dogs had just developed a bad habit of chasing cars in the past few weeks because they just opened Govt Beach road and made higher speed traffic a possibility. Frankly I don't know why they started chasing cars, but I was working hard to stop it.

With all the thousands of downed trees all around this property because of the hurricane, I took their collars off, so they would not get hung and die in the woods. So they have NO COLLARS.

If you have seen both or either of these dogs, please let me know. If you hit one or both of the dogs and put her body in the bushes, please let me know. I'll understand. If both or either of them wandered into your yard and you want to keep them, please let me know. No matter what has happened, please let me know.

We were supposed to move on Feb 1st, but can't leave until we know what happened to them. It is hard to find rentals that accept dogs, but I kept them both for my brother who is terminally ill and the reason I rented a place on the ocean for possibly final year of his life. But we must move as I'm going broke now and can't afford ocean house anymore.

These dogs were not planned but turned out to be a huge therapeutic boost to my bro's health and I love these dogs and planned to keep them for their whole life no matter what. These dogs are the most gentle, wonderful dogs I could imagine.

Please. I'm offering a $500 reward for the return of each of the dogs. Potentially $1000. It's all the money I have saved, but it would be worth it to me. No questions asked.

My brother is so sick and SO devastated by this loss. Bro is in a lot of pain and these dogs got him out of bed and walking outside regularly for the first time since 2013. This was his favorite puppy. The only one we kept for him. The others were adopted out.

They could be anywhere along Govt Beach road, in Hawaiian Beaches/Hawaiian Shores or in Paradise Park or further by now. ANY information would be appreciated.

The first picture is of the missing puppy in front and mom in back as they looked last week. The Second pic is of mom dog from the side showing obvious mom dog tits. The third pic is of mom dog face on. Puppy was VERY hard to get a clear shot of, as she never stops moving with her eyes open.
