I offer childcare from 6am-12am (midnight Sunday through Friday. The focus of my program is on the whole child-from basic skills and concepts. . . cognitive development. . . sensory and fine motor skills. . . large motor skills and above all-a positive self concept. Planned lessons and activities including circle time and table time. Nutritious meals and snacks are served daily (breakfast-AM snack-lunch-PM snack, supper and evening snack). We have a big fenced-in back yard for running, group activities and playing with outdoor toys and equipment.. Also a large sand area for sand and water play. A park is close by. Outdoor activities are planned for each day (weather permitting) to foster large motor development and to encourage learning through exploration and discovery. There are lots of toys, books, puzzles. Individual and group computer activities are part of the weekly routine. TV time is limited.
I'm married-have 5 grown children-and 4 young grandchildren of which I care for our 3 yr old granddaughter and 5 yr old grandson fulltime. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in Early Childhood Education. I also have 12 years previous experience doing in-home licensed daycare. Our own children were home-schooled through high school, and are settling into their careers, and/or starting families of their own.
