All the Details:
We are three seasoned and dedicated musicians seeking a like-minded singer for a new start-up ORIGINAL heavy metal hard rock band outfit. Most likely some sort of combination of Progressive, Heavy Metal, Thrash Metal, Power Metal, Post-Hardcore, Melodic Post-Hardcore, Metalcore and Melodic Death Metal. (I think -- I suck at genre labeling).
We are currently seeking a bassist to continue assembling our new group.
The guitarists used to play in a band here named Leviathan Hawaii in 2009. We currently write and play in Standard and Drop D tunings, not opposed to Eb Standard and Drop C#. We currently rehearse once a week in town at Vibe Asylum. The location of rehearsals are subject to change as more members join, especially if someone has a place we can play for free/without disturbance. We're looking to lock in a set day or two of the week for practice. The frequency of rehearsals however, are subject to increase and/or decrease as more members join and as we continue to get comfortable with our repertoire or undertake new material.
We aim to primarily write originals (which we are currently in the process of while looking for others to join us) both individually and collaboratively, as well as perform short, fun and crowd pleasing rock instrumental renditions of movie themes and television tunes on the side. We're looking to perform about 1-3 times quarterly (every 3 months) at actual show venues like the Republik, Hawaiian Brian's, etc. We're also planning on recording our songs independently first, professionally later, then producing CD's/audio tracks to sell/distribute at shows and online, develop an online presence, and record professional music videos for YouTube. The sky's the limit after that. A world tour would be nice wouldn't it? As it stands right now, it shouldn't be too time consuming. We rehearse 2-3 hours 1 day a week and won't be gigging out often. Looking for someone down for the part-time'd-ness but also taking it seriously. The time commitment will be moderately low, but the consistency very important.

At this moment we are collectively and primarily influenced by Metallica, Iron Maiden, Thrice, Megadeth, In Flames, Dream Theater, Killswitch Engage, Disturbed, Greg Howe, Scar Symmetry, Greg Howe, Marty Friedman, 16 & 32 bit video game music, and movie soundtracks, to name a few.
