Bass Player wanted for Roots Reggae, one drop, nyabinghi, rock steady, and ska band. Must have pro gear to support the dynamic reggae bass bottom sound. Also must have pro attitude, own transportation and stable lifestyle. Looking for individual who can lay down a very simple line that is strong, consistent and driving. The bass parts for this music are very much like drum parts that create a cyclical hypnotic rhythm. The bass grooves for reggae are the foundation of the music; not looking for soloist but rather a groove and only groove player. The band will range from 5 to 8 players depending when we can implement our horn section.
