Caregiver 15 years of continuous happy local clients (Bay Area)
Hello,
I am Donna Hamer. I have served the Bay area for the last 15 years as a full-time independent Care Giver. I do not work for an agency, I have my own business I call Paramount Elder Care. During this 15 years, I have primarily served three families. I also do consulting and part-time case management. One family I served for approximately seven years, the next for four years, and the last family for four years. My last family I served has lost their 98 year old Mother. As a matter of fact, two weeks ago she and I were at the hair dressers getting her nails and hair done! So it was sudden. As a Caregiver, my clients and I have the best of times, and we become very close with the clients as well as their family.
My goal is to facilitate a normal lifestyle during our time together in my profession. I encourage going out to the normal functions, if health allows, such as the hair dresser, lunch, community events, etc. We do crafts, organize photos, and we typically strive to have oodles of fun!
My references are impeccable, and will be provided for you. I specialize in providing a full service care. This care includes overseeing staffing and management, including light house-keeping, laundry, cooking, medical equipment, home improvement safety devices, and hospice. I sometimes start out as a personal companion to assist in these golden years, and often times after medical rehabilitation stays. My utmost purpose or mission are for people who want to remain in their homes.
I have luxury transportation that I use that is fully insured, and offers dignity, and the reflection of the lifestyle of the clients that I have faithfully served over the years.
My schedule is open right now, I do come highly recommended for long term care. My services are opposite of institutionalized care. One of my task is to insure that my clients, including family members treated with the utmost respect in an often busy health care system. I have special affordable rates for a 24 hour shift, and I do back to back.

I can highly recommend Donna Hamer for in-home elder care. Donna is well organized and brings a certain joy to the work that really helps both the person in her care and the family. As a family member,I saw her care for my mother. She prepared food, took my mother on outings -- some long distance, and helped with her daily living and personal care. When Donna was in charge, she not only did the job, she really did "care" about my mother and her well-being. I believe that Donna would be a good choice for any family looking for someone to care for a loved-one.

I highly recommend Donna Hamer, who organized and maintained a round-the-clock care-giving schedule so my aged mother was able to stay at home. Always punctual and cheerful, Donna kept everyone's morale up around the house, and she was able to get my mother interested in the world, so she wanted to live. She instructed the new people and arranged schedules so there was always coverage and I never had to worry. Thanks to Donna, my mother had four blissful years of good mobility and hearty appetite before dying peacefully at home at 98.
