The Technical:
I am a director seeking a cinematographer to collaborate with on an upcoming short film project to be shot late summer/ early fall. The film should clock in at about 15-20 minutes, and should be done in 4-5 days of principal photography (plus second unit/ B-roll shooting.) It will be shot in black and white. This will be a paid shoot pending successful fundraising, though still on a shoestring budget. This is NOT a large production. Preference will be given to those who own their own camera equipment (5d mk III or better).
The Creative:
The piece is focused on one woman's struggles with anxiety. Stylistically, this is something in the vein of surrealist or art house cinema. I would ideally like to be working with someone who sees filmmaking foremost as an art form rather than a media/ technical profession. This will be a collaborative working environment- I'll be open to and expecting your input. I want to be working with someone as invested in the quality of this piece as I am.
