Researchers at the University of Minnesota are seeking volunteers to take part in a clinical research study called "GRADE" that is trying to find the best combination drug treatment for type 2 diabetes.

You may be eligible if you:
*Have had type 2 diabetes for less than 10 years
*Are over 30 years old *If American Indian, over 20 years old
*Only taking metformin (Glucophage) for your diabetes
*Are willing to take second diabetes medication
*Willing to make 4 office visits each year in the next 4-6 years

If you participate:
**You diabetes will be managed by experts in diabetes care. No medical insurance needed.
**Diabetes medications and lab work provided, free.
