I am a friendly, fun and active gal who uses a wheelchair immediately seeking multiple gals to join my team of caregivers. I am located in New Hope, right next to Plymouth (less than 10mi from Downtown and 15mi from U of M West Bank). My PCAs assist me with personal cares, household tasks, my two small dogs, going to work and just getting me wherever I need to go. I enjoy getting out for fun in my free time. Many would tell you this is one of the best jobs they have had. :) There tends to be downtime if you have studying or binge watching to do! ;)
I have a variety of hours available now through sometime in January and then you would move into a set schedule that works for the both of us. I staff 24-hours a day every day with shifts anywhere from 6-24 hours long (sometimes the longer the better). You can work shifts as long as 24 hours on full days available, if interested. Overnights you get paid to sleep and wake when I need you usually a couple times a night. I do generally require two weekend shifts a month. Must be able to work some hours on the upcoming holidays but we can discuss those.
I ask that you have the strength and ability to lift and turn 80lbs, have a driver's license and your own vehicle for getting yourself to/from work, be free of smoke before and during work, and be ok with two small companion dogs. Must have a clean background. Must be able to commit to more than just a few months, but can work with schedule changes for school.
No experience necessary - complete training provided!
$13.23/hr, with earned PTO and five select paid holidays. Looks great on resumes and grad school apps! I will provide a personalized letter of recommendation upon request after nine months of employment.
