Seeking strictly pro level musicians for a well-organized tribute to the music of JAMES BROWN. If you wish to reply, please include all of the following information about yourself in your response.

Instrument(s) that you play (Note: bass and a few other positions are already filled), any formal musical education, and who are your biggest influences

Experience in R&B and with James Brown's music in particular -- tell us who you have worked with and what music (even specific songs) you have played

Musical Skills - MUST be able to read music notation well (written charts), understand musical terminology, and have good improvisational skills (i.e. when it's your turn to blow you can let loose, otherwise you have to play the notes and chords as written).

Stage Experience -- this will be a fast moving and sometimes spontaneous show that requires all to be highly alert at all times. Previous stage experience is a plus!

Rehearsal - the music is tightly arranged and has to be solid for live shows and recording. Musicians must be willing to rehearse as is necessary

Travel -- this project is intended to work regionally and also to tour, so please consider your willingness and availability to travel

Personal Integrity -- Beyond music skills, this tribute needs people who are friendly, enthusiastic, loyal, clean, committed, punctual, prepared and professional in all respects. Drugs, alcohol, lateness, no shows, egotism are all clearly stated examples of what won't work in this organization.
