Are parents and friends able to buffer children and teens from stress?
We are recruiting children/teens and their best friends for one 2-hour visit at the University of Minnesota. Participants will complete a short speaking task and a math task and will provide saliva and urine samples to measure the hormones cortisol and oxytocin. The parent or friend will help the participant prepare for their speech.
Participants and their friends will be compensated for their time with Target gift cards.
