Small Engine Mechanic and Shop Assistant Needed (Newton, MA)
I am a tractor enthusiast who needs help fixing homeowner lawn and yard tractor-mowers.
I'm looking for a temporary or part-time Small Engine Mechanic who can repair air-cooled
engines primarily from Briggs and Kohler. Must be able to diagnose and fix issues. Must
be familiar with carburetors, cylinder head and valves, electrical (spark, magnetos, wiring
harness, etc.), fuel system, starters, and other typical problem areas. Will also work on
riding mower chassis repair. Light welding skills a plus. Flexible hours available.
I am also seeking a Shop Assistant to work on routine tasks, including oil changes, service
tasks, metal surface preparation and refinishing, and detailing. This person will have the
opportunity to learn how to perform tractor and small engine repairs.
Prefer someone nearby with own transportation. Should have own power or air-driven tools.
Hourly pay offered with potential for more hours in the future. Please reply with a summary
