OPEN YOUR HEART AND HOME THIS SUMMER
Host an International Exchange Student from Eurasia
Hosting Dates: July 30 -- August 14
Shoreview, Arden Hills and surrounding area is welcoming 9 scholarship students from Eurasia from the countries of Moldova, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. These teens are part of the FLEX (Future Leaders Exchange Program). They are in Minnesota primarily to improve their English before attending school in the Fall by attending ESL classes during the daytime. This is a great way for your family to be involved with hosting an exchange student with a short term commitment of only two weeks.

Manel Renshaw, a local coordinator for CCI based in Shoreview, said the students are scheduled to stay in Shoreview and surrounding communities from July 29 to Aug. 15.

While in the metro the students will explore historical spots and regional attractions, including a baseball game, Como, Mall of America and volunteering.

Single parents, families with or without children and "empty nesters" are all welcome.

Families interested in hosting a student will have to complete a background check and provide the students with three meals a day, including items they can pack for lunches during excursions.

Students also will require their own bed that is not convertible in nature and can share rooms with other children so long as they are of the same sex and are 8 years old or older.

Manel Renshaw can be reached at 763-370-85onesix or emailed through Craig's List.
